Construction and finishing
for exceptional interiors.

Nearly three decades of experience delivering, refurbishing and finishing interiors where the quality of execution matters.

JL Refurb

Built properly.
Finished beautifully.

JL specialises in high-quality construction, refurbishment and finishing, with an unusually exacting understanding of the final visual quality of an interior.

Because construction is not finished when something merely works. It is finished when the preparation, detailing, junctions, decoration and final presentation are right.

The finish is part of the construction.

Finish

Detail that survives close inspection.

Meticulous preparation, decoration, architectural detailing, joinery and careful setting-out are treated as fundamental parts of the build — not cosmetic work left until the end.

Residential

Familiar hands.
Established standards.

JL has grown around long-standing working relationships. Many of the site managers, tradespeople and specialists working with the business today have worked alongside one another for many years, delivering residential and hospitality projects across London.

Some first worked together nearly two decades ago and have since become highly experienced leaders within their respective disciplines. This continuity matters. Expectations, methods and standards do not have to be rediscovered at the beginning of every project.

Hospitality

Experience in interiors that have to work hard.

Years of hospitality construction and maintenance bring a practical understanding of sequencing, durability, access, repair and the coordination of multiple trades — without losing sight of the finished room.

Delivery

One project.
One team.

Successful interiors depend upon cooperation between client, designer, architect, project manager and contractor. JL approaches each project as part of that wider team — anticipating problems, raising questions early and taking responsibility for the work within its control.

Resolving an issue is generally more useful than establishing whose issue it was.

01

Build

Experienced construction and refurbishment, carefully planned and executed.

02

Finish

An exacting approach to preparation, decoration, detailing and final visual quality.

03

Procure

Dedicated procurement support, active price negotiation and rigorous order and delivery tracking.

04

Control

Clear commercial administration, carefully recorded expenditure and transparent project invoicing.

Small enough to remain personally involved. Experienced enough to manage the whole picture.

Procurement & Commercial Control

The right material, at the right price, on site when it is actually needed.

JL's projects are supported by dedicated procurement and commercial management working directly alongside Mariusz and the site team. From architectural finishes and stone to sanitaryware, specialist items and contractor-procured FF&E, orders are placed, recorded and tracked through to delivery.

Long-standing supplier relationships and active negotiation allow JL to seek advantageous project pricing rather than simply treating standard trade discounts as the end of the conversation. Procurement is considered alongside the construction programme so that long-lead items are identified early and deliveries arrive when the site is ready for them.

The same care extends to project administration. Expenditure, procurement and variations are carefully recorded, with clear supporting information maintained throughout the works.

Good financial administration should make a project easier to manage — not create another job for the client or designer.

In 2021, Mariusz established MPInvestors sp. z o.o. with his business partner. He owns 50% of the company and serves as a board member.

Together they oversee the complete development process — from identifying and acquiring land, developing the design and appointing architects and project managers, through contractor selection, procurement, construction supervision and final handover.

The current three-stage residential programme comprises 48 apartments. Stage I completed in December 2023 and is fully sold; Stage II completed in December 2025 and is also fully sold. Stage III is scheduled for completion in March 2027 and is currently approximately 60% sold.

Development experience creates a different understanding of cost, programme, quality and consequence — and of how individual decisions affect the project as a whole.

Selected Work

A deeper record of the work.

For those who wish to look more closely: completed interiors, detailing and long-standing experience across London residential and hospitality projects.

Selected projects include work delivered by members of today’s JL team across earlier senior site-management, construction and finishing roles, as well as directly through JL Refurb. The work shown is a selected record rather than an exhaustive project history.

Aftercare & Maintenance

A relationship with a property need not end at practical completion.

Where appropriate, JL continues to support completed residential projects with decoration, carpentry, repairs, maintenance and carefully managed small works.

This service remains deliberately selective and is offered subject to the availability of the appropriate team.

About JL

Quiet experience.
Personal responsibility.

Mariusz Zurek has worked in construction and fine interiors for close to three decades. JL Refurb has grown from that experience and from long-standing relationships with site managers, tradespeople and specialists who have worked together across high-quality London residential and hospitality projects for many years.

JL Refurb works closely with private clients, developers, interior designers, architects, project managers and their professional teams. Mariusz remains personally involved rather than disappearing once a contract has been awarded.

JL Refurb deliberately limits the number of projects undertaken at any one time so that the established team can remain closely involved throughout.

The company may be focused in size. The experience behind it is not.

Taking on the right projects

Much of our work comes from existing clients and professional introductions.

We are nevertheless always pleased to hear about an interesting new project.
